Our Story
The rewards and unique challenges that come with neurodiversity shape relationships for our clients with their family, friends, and members of the community.
We empathise with families and understand the frustration and feelings of isolation that can come with caring for a child with additional needs.
We believe it is a shared responsibility to create environments where neurodivergent children can flourish. This begins with fostering authentic relationships with a child’s support network and ensuring that relationships are underpinned by understanding, empowerment, and acceptance.
SeeChange aims to collaborate with families and connect with other services to create a new way of being in our community where everyone is truly valued.
How it all Started
SeeChange Therapy is uniquely placed to meet the needs of families wherever they are at on their therapeutic journey.
SeeChange was founded by three Mother’s with one thing in common – a desire to enhance meaningful connections between Mothers and Children. As her son received multiple diagnosis as part of his neurodiverse profile his mother Frances (Occupational Therapist) began seeking greater evidenced, intensive, and comprehensive support for her son Iggy.
On realising that Iggy did not have local access to the supports he needed, a shared vision evolved between Frances and close friends Sharon Grogan (Day-care Director) and Sarah Kelly (Occupational Therapist).
An identified community need led to a collaborative project that evolved into SeeChange Therapy.
SeeChange aims to revolutionise the way therapy is delivered by making it more accessible and holistic using evidence-based models to capacity build and enhance the network around the child. This is why we focus on creating supports that are individualised to the child, tailored for the family, and partnered with the community.
We aim to create an inclusive support network around the child thereby reducing the stigma of disability, fostering an appreciation of diversity in children from a young age.
Our Values
Here at SeeChange Therapy, we cultivate a culture that resonates with our values. We are adamant in promoting these values in everything that we do:
Respect
We celebrate our differences and acknowledge each other’s strengths, needs, and culture.
We endeavour to tend our environment and the Awabakal land we share in an equal or better condition than we found it.
Integrity
We support each other to integrate our actions, thoughts, and words.
Creativity
We forge our own path creating space for what is to come. We are playful, collaborative, and curious and invite these qualities into the relationships that we build.
Kindness
We are considerate, using empathy in our interactions to create connections and empower our community.
